Its hard to believe we are at 39 weeks already, although sometimes it feels like I've been (and will be) pregnant forever! The appointment today went well. My parents arrived yesterday so my mom went with me. They did an ultrasound to check on her weight. It was fun that my mom was able to be there for that! Leola is now weighing in at an estimated 8 lbs., 7 ounces (half a pound more than last week!) Everything checked out perfectly. Unfortunately, I am barely dilated (1 cm) so the doctor discouraged an induction for this week despite her size. We are scheduled to be at the hospital at 6:30am Monday morning to start the process. I may be sent home that same morning, depending on how I respond. If I am sent home, I'll go back on Tuesday to be induced. There is a chance that I'll even be sent home on Tuesday (if I'm still not progressing) and will have to return on Wednesday. So, needless to say, we are praying that she will come on her own before Monday.
On Sunday morning I was talking to my friend Jenny when her 6 year old daughter pointed to my belly and asked, "when does she get out?" Ha!
