Leola Ruth was born on Friday, June 27 at approximately 5:00 p.m, weighing just 9 pounds, 10 ounces (If you recall, just a few days earlier she was estimated to weigh 8lbs., 7 ounces). After attempting to deliver her naturally, it was determined at around noon on Friday that a c-section would be necessary. Leola was in position, but simply was not moving down into the birth canal. I'll spare you the details (but don't worry, I have many stories and antidotes to blog about in the future!) Here are some pictures that are so much better than words anyway...
Our little firecracker!!
The night before we went to the hospital to be induced... more than ready to have a baby!
Proud Daddy!
First glimpse...
During the c-section, the doctor said, "she has more chins than a Chinese phonebook!"
Only a few hours old and she's already stolen Daddy's heart!
Mommy is so glad she's finally here!
First picture with Mimi and Papa Bethel...
... and Grandma and Papa Hinkson
My first bath (at home). Thank goodness Grandma Hinkson is here to help mommy!
Thank you for the blanket, Auntie Laura!
How old this baby again? Three months? :-)
Congratulations on this luscious baby beauty!

Congratulations Bob and Heidi. Leola is a little doll! I have an outfit for her that I will have to send right away before she outgrows it :-) I pray for God's blessings on all three of you as you start this exciting new phase of your lives!
Fondly,
Patsy Bain
